About the Artist...

My name is Leah Blatteis (Pronounced: “Blatt-ice”), and welcome to my portfolio website! I am a visual artist focusing primarily on pre-production, specifically Story and Character Design.

I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Savannah College of Art and Design with my BFA in Animation and a concentration in Story and Concept. During my time at SCAD, I had the wonderful opportunity to direct two films, one of which is award winning and an official selection in multiple film festivals! I also have had the opportunity to storyboard for both 2D and 3D animated short films as well as a live-action documentary project for PBS, which went on to be nominated for an Emmy.

I now live on the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands), Spain, where I am a tax resident, able to legally live and work thanks to my Spanish citizenship. I hold triple citizenship with the United States of America, Spain, and Germany. Additionally, I speak English and Spanish.
